Merry Christmas

Today, I sit here on Christmas without even the slightest bit of fanfare awaiting; we opened our presents as a family yesterday. The presents that were exchanged were minimal; I got indoor slippers, pajamas, and some hygiene products (body wash, body spray, lotion).

That will leave me with nothing to do today than to be with this family of mine and to think of all that has happened as I normally do. Out of that, I will continue to ponder all that my life contains – some good, some bad – and out of it to extract gratitude and lessons to remember.

Maybe this, more than anything else, is the actual point of today; I have nothing to do but love the people around me as I do every other day this year. If you have people that you love and that love you, count yourself blessed to do the same no matter how great or little.
