about that minimalism thing: part 6

I was thinking about how far I've come on this journey of mine and how I've been faring since then.

Basically, I've stuck to the "Hell Yeah" rule; if it excites me or stirs passions, then I do it. If not, then I drop it. I have picked up new things and I've donated other things.

I was thinking about my first stages in this process; I counted my things. Quite a bit. Again, as I've said to you: it's not about owning less as much as owning less of what you don't need. Of course, since I was initially into all this because of the amount of things I had that had no meaning, I counted.

Now, when I look around, I see things that are meaningful to me in the present. Clothes that I regularly wear, things that I regularly use, posters I like, video games I am playing, books I read (however slowly) and plenty of space. I sometimes surprise myself with how much I enjoy what I have now. It's a good good feeling.

As I reported in my last entry, it seems to be reaching a lot of people. Hopefully they are enjoying the same feelings I am as they make more room for meaning i'n their lives.

And let me not forget the people that made this journey big enough for me to dream of and small enough to take: Joshua Millburn and Ryan Nicodemus.

You can look them up at http://www.theminimalists.com.
