I walked along the road with John to take Val (his dog) on a walk and found something I haven't seen in a very long time...

They were everywhere and I enjoyed seeing them after not having seen them for so long. It was good to be with John after waiting so long to see him and hang out like we are now. It is said that while new friends are silver, old friends are gold.

I totally get that right now.

Having John ask me what we should do, how my life has been, what I'm up to and if I'm okay has been a welcome change. So has being here with all of the nature around me. There's no one around for miles, so I have more than enough peace and solitude up here. It is very much welcome and I am quite thankful for it.

I have many other thoughts and I will write them at a later time, but for now, I am enjoying my time here and I can tell already that I will be sad when I do have to return home.
