God ignorance 2

//when we get to heaven, it will be a place perfect for us

give me a break. since when has heaven been about anything other than
God (who would be the only important person there anyway)? why do we
think that heaven will be a place where i get to do something that
meets my idea of awesome for eternity? exactly why is it that we think
of these mansions and all of these other things. heaven is communion
and deep enjoyment of God and that's it. for eternity. amen. seriously
people, you live on earth doing things for yourself and then think
you're going to heaven to do the same thing in an idyllic setting. wtf
is wrong with you? AND PEOPLE TEACH THIS IN CHURCH?! see.... i might
get ethnic in here....

//angels...

they exist. yes. there are good ones and bad ones of varying levels of
power. for a quick analysis, read a comic book. compare normal humans
to mutants or wizards. done. THEY ARE NOT THAT IMPORTANT. they are
just other created beings like we are. they aren't the point. stop
studying them.

//what if God just reveals Himself in a way that created all of these different religions?

i think God would reform Himself on one detail: speech. if you are a spanish speaking person, God isn't going to speak to you in french, english, or esperanto, but the idea that God is hung up on your acceptance of Him so much that He would misrepresent who He is has to be the most ludicrous I've ever heard. Imagine trying to explain what I look like to a person that hasn't seen black people. "His skin is like this bar of chocolate". Now imagine those people actually think I'm made of chocolate. Would a person that wants these people to have an accurate view of me permit that? Probably not. "No, he's not made out of chocolate. He looks that way, but he is human like me, just darker..." You would take the time to explain until there was an accurate picture in their mind of what I look like.

But meh, God? Fuck that. It takes too much effort. >_<

//more things?

probably. as i hear them, i'll just address them in brief here.
