typical day

Shortly after the nightmare, I tried to nap a little more then went to work. Work was very slow because it was all about returns. I was rather bored, but kept my spirits up by talking, walking and thinking of that oh-so-funny gummy bear video from robot chicken.

Things of note at work:

• did one of the closer really switch hours with someone there who had been there since 7:30am when I only have 7 hours this week?
• raging hard-ons are awkward as hell. i can't really hide that kind of thing well and they happen at the most inconvenient times. -_-
• manager bought pizza for everybody and that was a lot of fun. so was the sprite.

Aside from this, I posted things and found artists and music and IMed [Seth] a bit when I was bored.

After working, I drove straight home although I was hungry and really wanted Zaxby's (yes, I love chicken -- I'm black and can't help myself). Got home and checked my IMs and such. RM and B got ready, then headed out without me. I left after them, but got to the destination much sooner... however, that didn't come without a consequence. The nightmare had taken its toll. With only two hours of sleep followed by seven hours on my feet, I started to fall asleep during the drive. Just imagine dozing, then that sudden rush of adrenaline and startling realization of "is that the median?!" going off at the same time.

Not good at all. Does not do.

When I got to the house, I greeted everyone and was offered dinner (which my new diet requires me to eat). When I thought about the drive home, I decided it was nap time and told people to wake me up in an hour. This was at 8 o'clock.

I woke up at 1:17 am. I watched the rest of... what was that movie... I don't know. It had this ghost that was communicating with these guys about how she got murdered. I thought it was the grudge, but it wasn't.

Got a stocking and some other gifts I had missed. They were so cute. I also got a ton of candy. It was good stuff. I went back to sleep at 2 and woke up around 5 to get home so Pollux could take the car to work today. I've been up since then, talking to [Octavius] of course.

Talking to RWJ also helped pass the time a bit before the party and after getting home.
