Singing

So today was the day. This person came to pick me up:

We practiced for a while on the rest of this:

At this place:

It was cool. I came in for an optional practice wearing this:

Take two:

After that, the band practiced and Brandon got some water and we walked back.

After that, the entire group -- including members of various choirs -- finally came together for rehearsal. Within an hour if practicing together, we had most things together.

We talked for a bit waiting for others to cone. In that time, I met varying people and learned about someone's love for varying conductors.

We both recommended things to listen to. After that, he asked if I had sung this requiem before as he had been listening to me for cues as to what to sing when he was unsure.

This blew me out if the water. He's a member of a couple of local choirs. I've never thought of my singing voice as an especially loud one but it was heard over so many people and it was helpful to people around me to sound out as loud as I could.

Afterward, I was asked if I was part if a choir anywhere and asked to join two.

It's moments like this, getting together to sing this requiem to offer comfort to people hurting in the wake of an event like this, that makes me miss church. I miss serving people with a group of like-minded people.

Difference I know all too well.
